Registration & Login FAQs

You can find your policy number on your Annual Statement or on most of the letters we have previously sent to you. If you are struggling to find your number, please call us on 0330 159 1530 (+44 1296 386242 if you live overseas). Our Contact Centre is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).

Please check that you hold an eligible policy. To register for MyUtmost you must have at least one of the following in force:

  • Former Equitable Life individual policy (not set up by an employer), which was purchased in the UK
  • Utmost Drawdown Plan

This service is currently not available to former Reliance Life customers, trustees or members of our Group Pension Schemes or employers who hold policies for their employees.

If you have checked that you are eligible and are still having problems registering, please call us on 0330 159 1530 (+44 1296 386242 if you live overseas). Our Contact Centre is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).

There are a number of reasons why this could be happening. The main ones are:

  • you are not eligible to register - see point 2 above for the eligibility rules
  • you may not be typing in your complete policy number. Please ensure you are typing in all letters and numbers and refer to your Annual Statement, or previous letters, for the correct format
  • your postcode is not recognised. This may be because you have changed address and have not updated your records with us. If you think this is the case please contact us

If you continue to have problems with your details not being recognised, please call us on 0330 159 1530 (+44 1296 386242 if you live overseas). Our Contact Centre is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).

If you have forgotten your registered email address, click on ‘I forgot my email address’ in the login screen and after confirming your identity your email address will be shown on the screen.

If you have forgotten your password, click on ‘I forgot my password’ in the login screen and this will take you through a secure process to reset your password.

Keeping your data safe is of utmost importance to us and we have taken all necessary steps to create a secure system. Each time you login, you will be taken through a security process where we send you a 6 digit one-time passcode to your registered mobile phone number. This process is also used for certain key changes you make whilst in your account. Our Privacy Notice provides you with details of how we use your data – you can find a link to this at the bottom of the page.

We ask for these details to securely complete your registration and to provide a secure login process. We will also use your email address to let you know when new documents have been put in your folder. We will send messages to your registered mobile phone number, which contain codes required to complete certain secure transactions when you are in MyUtmost.
